Heroes!

Writer's picture: Darryl BuckleDarryl Buckle

So my son got a birthday card from his Grandmother today with a picture of a cute kid with a cape and the classic quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson.

A hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is braver five minutes longer.

I have lots of hero types in my life but today I thought I’d share with you the one whose story we told on Sunday.

Tamara is a gal who’s walked through all sorts of highs and lows in her life yet maintains one of the most positive attitudes I’ve ever seen.  It’s been so great to watch as she has been taking some awesome steps of faith these last few months too!

She’s the kind of person who spends herself serving those in need in all sorts of ways.

Give her a kettlebell and it’d take all you have just to keep up!

Walk a mile in her shoes and it’d take all you have to keep up too!

Proud of the journey that Tamara is on and how she contributes to making Redwood a better place!

Can’t wait to watch as more and more people’s lives are impacted by heroes like Tamara and so many others at Redwood Park Church.
